THE HOUSE

The main house is designed for groups: generous, light-filled rooms with a layout that lets everyone be together (without being on top of each other). THE GARDENS

Three south-facing flint-walled gardens flow one into the next, with extensive lawns and woodland beyond.

All accessed directly from the house. It’s the sort of outdoor space that works for almost anything: welcome drinks, outdoor dining, marquee plans, or simply giving people room to drift.

THE HANGAR – FOR FEASTING, DANCING AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

If you’d like extra space, or a slightly wilder, more flexible backdrop, The Hangar can be added to your booking. It’s ideal for long-table feasts, dancing, workshops and talks, or creating an event “hub” that keeps the house feeling like home.

The Hangar includes a simple, practical setup (including an electric Aga, Butler sink, trestle tables, a loo, and super-fast Wi-Fi), with an acre of lawn and woodland around it for anything that wants to spill outdoors.

FOOD, SUPPLIERS & STYLING YOUR EVENT

Barn Drift isn’t a “package” venue. You’re welcome to bring your own suppliers: caterers, florists, photographers, musicians.

If you’d like recommendations, we can point you towards trusted local people who understand how to work with the setting.

STAYING OVER

Barn Drift works especially well for events that stretch beyond a single day. The main house sleeps up to 16, and there’s additional accommodation available nearby if you’d like a little more privacy for certain guests.

For a more festival-leaning gathering, there’s also space for guests to camp on the lawns or arrange a bell tent village through local suppliers. If you’re adding The Hangar, there’s even more camping space there too, along with additional loos and showers.)
