Barn Drift is a small wedding venue in Norfolk for couples who want something beautiful, personal and unforced, a place that feels like a private home, not a production.

Set in long-held family farmland with sea air on the wind and wide views across the Glaven Valley, it lends itself to intimate celebrations that unfold at their own pace. Come for the setting, stay for the calm and make it entirely your own.

A NORFOLK CHURCH WEDDING (St Margaret’s, Cley)

St Margaret’s Church, Cley is just a few minutes’ walk across meadows, and you could make Barn Drift your base before the big day and the ultimate location for your reception and party.

OR:

MARRY AT BARN DRIFT – A SMALL WEDDING VENUE IN NORFOLK

With full wedding and ceremony licensing across the house and grounds, you can marry at Barn Drift inside or outside, with wide open views over the Glaven Valley and the North Norfolk Coast.

In summer, you might choose to marry under the Persian Ironwoods, or by the ancient flint wall, half covered with a rambling rector rose, with the sweeping valley beyond.

You could say your vows on the raised terrace looking out to Blakeney Point, or in the sycamore wood with the sea beyond and birds overhead.

And for a cosy winter wedding, Barn Drift comes into her own: a ceremony in the dining hall or drawing room, fire blazing, vast windows looking out over the salt marsh and valley beneath Norfolk’s skies.

Our one and only rule is simple: amplified music stops at midnight, so sound doesn’t float down into the village and disturb old friends and neighbours.

If you’d like more space, or a slightly wilder, more flexible feel for your celebration, The Hangar can be added to your booking. It’s a short, lovely walk through meadows from the house. It’s ideal for everything from long-table feasts to dancing, talks, workshops, or a more relaxed “wedding weekend” rhythm where guests can drift between spaces.
